The Research Colloquium SCREENING SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS, organized by the Janovics Center for Screen and Performing Arts Studies, took place on October 6, 2022. It was hosted by the Faculty of Theater and Film at Babeș-Bolyai University.

The event was part of the Reasearch project PN-III-P4-PCE-2021-0141, Screening Romanian Social Transformations, 1990-2021, and got together a diverse group of European researchers, that were interested in cinema and its social discourse.

Speakers: Alasdair King (Queen Mary University of London), Bogdan Popa (Transilvania University, Brașov), Emanuel Copilaș (Universitatea de Vest, Timișoara), and Laszlo Strausz and Balazs Varga (ELTE Budapest).
